Experience of yoga

Yoga to me is more than a form of physical exercise. Yoga is translated as ‘Yuj’ in Sanskrit or ‘to join’ which means that the practice of yoga creates a union and connection between the mind, body and soul.

My mission is to teach yoga and create more awareness about all 8 limbs of yoga (which are Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharma, Dhyana and Samadhi) and not just Asanas (which is the 3rd limb of yoga). I want to create experiences and mindfulness practices using yoga asanas, pranayama breathing and meditation to help bring balance; provide healing & clarity; and assist everyone in living a more fulfilled life.

Other energetic benefits of yoga include clearing energetic blockages in the body, balancing the nadis (Pingala and Ina) and the yin/yang, balancing the chakras (as pictured below):
